My buddy bought this a year ago from the original owner that he has know since he was a kid. He had planned to keep it for himself, but is now engaged and needs the dough. In the last year, he pulled the 6 cylinder and 3 speed and put in a 66 327 that has been hot rodded, backed it with a 700r4 trans and a 10 bolt. He also redid the brakes.
Here is how its sitting now. My buddy is going to button it up and put the front clip back on it sometime in the next couple weeks.
Its got a newer front seat in it, and an original middle seat. The original owner put in wood paneling. I plan to redo the wood and keep it.
Here's a few pics. Ill post more once I get it home!

If you need any parts, I may have some still lingering around from my old C-10. Great score but make sure to drop it about 4" rear/3" front. I hear you about the bias ply ride(although I think radials are alot less $). I love them in the rain, it gets real fun then. Slip n Slide anyone?

Thanks plan9. I think the only thing I need is a rear bumper and I found one for $35.
I hope to get this thing home this weekend. My buddy is going the extra mile for me though and totally going thru the truck first. Yesterday he double checked all the wiring to make sure everything works, dropped and cleaned out the gas tank, put in a new electric fuel pump, and adjusted the fuel level float.
I got the truck home tonight. It was the first time I was able to really check it out and I got a lot better deal than I thought!
Turns out I am the 4th owner, and it only has 70,000 original miles!!!!!! I really wish it still had the original engine and trans, but I can't complain about the 327 with a 700r4! It sat in the desert for most of its life, so its pretty rust free.
It doesn't charge, so I need to check the wiring and probably put an alternator in it. And it only has headers right now, no exhaust, so thats one of my first priorities. also the idle is really high, and it shifts really late. But it runs, drives, turns, and stops.
