It's nothin super duper cool but REALY love my S10's this is my 6th one I've owned. First blazer, first 4.3 V6. It'll do nice for what I need. Haul my fam, and '67 Apache pop up camper at its most useful.
I put a hitch on it so I can haul the trailer or put a bike rack on it and haul bikes. But threw my Columbia in the back due to crappy roads, to take it an ld get some pics of it.
I've had lots of cars and trucks over the years, all of them modifed to some degree. I currently drive a Jeep TJ Unlimited, which I love. But the most all around fun to drive were these ones. 1984 Pontiac Fiero 2M4. What a great little car. I got it as a $500 clunker and re-did everything. It looked sharp, handled well and with the 2.5L "Iron Duke" engine souped up the car was quick and sounded great. The kid who bought it from me has something like 300,000km on the car now...so much for Fiero's alleged unreliablity. My suspension-lifted Samurai was bulletproof and fun at the beach or in the woods. But it was as slow as molasses on the highway. I drove it everywhere including Daytona for spring break one year. That was a Loooooooooonggggggg ride! Not sure if they ever sold the Suzuki Forsa Turbo in the U.S? Mine was European-spec, non-emissions controlled, fuel injected 100hp turbo intercooled 3 cyl. It sounded neat, revved to a zillion rpm and was quick enough to embarass lots of people in short stoplight to stoplight drag races. The key was to get a good start and never ever lift off the gas until the more powerful car started to catch up...then let off like you won before the other car got up to speed. It used to infuriate guys in muscle cars when I would jerk them around like that in this my little crackerbox! But by 100,000km the engine was toast. Later on Suzuki and GM sold a bigger version of the car as a Turbo Sprint/Firefly but they were detuned to about 70hp for reliability.
Nice cars FatAlbert. I love VW's too and have had a few over the years but they won't pull my horse trailer. So, my daily driver is an F-450. Lots of custom too both inside and out. The others are my wife's Avalanche and Slk320. The black on black L82 C3 is our baby.
