NOAA weather says we're screwed:

A chance of showers before 8am, then scattered showers and thunderstorms between 8am and 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms

Well it didn't rain overnight as predicted and it's not raining now. It's the usual morning overcast. Hopefully it burns off like it usually does.

Weather.com for flemington, 15min from ride spot says 50% of rain and scattered thunderstorms.

I Checked lambertville NJ and it's the same forecast. It's been like this for weeks. It calls for rain and by the afternoon it burns off and never rains. My grass is dead because of it.

If I was riding solo I would go. And as a bonus the chance of rain may keep the crowds down.

Since its close and a shorter overall ride we should be ok. There are a ton of shops and restaurants all of which James knows the owners so we can find shelter if it really blows.
